Mae Thorn was born in Salt Lake City with a story on her lips and a book in her hand. She has been writing tales since the time before time and has tried her pen at poetry, fantasy, science fiction, horror, non-fiction and ultimately, historical romance.
She injured her back in October 2017 after graduating from college that year and became confined to sitting. Always one to take advantage of a bad situation, she began her first novel during National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November 2017. Since then, she has written three novels in a series which are in various editing stages. Now in recovery, her fourth book will be an Own Voices historical romantic fantasy exploring her experiences with hearing loss.
Aside from writing, she works in archival studies. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Utah and went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University in California.
In her free time, she devours books of most genres and tries out her tasteless dark humor on social media. She laughs with a snort at bad puns and thinks she is witty but her fur babies, Church and Shadow Moon, tell her otherwise.
